Our Story

Laurie December 6, 2019

The three buildings that make up the Stinson Beach Community Center — the firehouse (completed in 1949), the hall (completed in 1953) and the chapel (completed in 1962) — are an expression of community spirit that dates back to the 1930s.

Our Mission

The Stinson Beach Community Center provides, maintains, and improves facilities for charitable, social, civic, educational and recreational activities that promote the welfare and interests of Stinson Beach and the neighboring communities. The community center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our Leadership

Throughout the years, the SBCC Board of Directors has had the honor to govern the three buildings that are a part of the Stinson Beach Community Center, Inc.:

  • The Hall
  • Firehouse
  • The Community Chapel

Each building is maintained by its respective boards and by the SBCC Board.

Today the SBCC Board is comprised of four designator organizations, four officers, and nine members at-large.
